The new Volkswagen Golf “Style” - by Karl Lagerfeld (via VolkswagenIPorsche) I LOVE this! Grabarz & Partnershave launched this fantastic eye catching campaign perfectly blending style, and humor in only a VW way. To me the stand out element is the truth aspect. I don’t feel I’m being sold by car specs and hot women. Its the sheer accuracy in summing up the VW owner’s personality that is so on point.
Another sad example of a company buying something they have no intention of doing anything with other than to be affiliated with something trendy….sigh
I am by no means a feminist, but the implications of Target helping a woman be more productive makes me feel nauseous!
Its funny how if you are not looking for anything you find everything.
In search for a gift for my BF I stumble upon the Parker website where I notice their latest outdoor marketing campaign intended to unite people with the written word. The big picture is an outdoor installation projecting written sentiments posted by consumers upon the NY museum of Modern Art. Life is funny because I saw this happening on the building and didn’t think too much as a complacent city dweller tends not to these days.

I love the new collection of Smirnoff Ice commericals. I still wouldn’t drink one, but at least the image of drinking them with friends on the street corners of London can be alterted to resemble the crazy lifestle of foam pool party’s!!

Remember all those deplorable product demo ads being shouted at you from your TV? Well no need to worry about turning down the volume when a new one pops up, Billy Mays the King of the loud voice is dead.
I am not applauding his death by any means. I think a man dying at age 50 is tragic, we all know that from Michael Jackson’s sudden death. However what strikes me as odd is that here is someone that we in the creative business stand for everything we fight against yet was highly successful. I guess the issue is not really about his talent for shouting at a camera with a brand in his hands, but the fact that people paid him again and again for his services.However now there is a spot open for the next shouting TV personailty.
Please anyone thinking about it, don’t!
